Dr Vannessa Leung

Dr Vannessa Leung is a highly skilled Cataract, Corneal and Laser Eye Surgeon with expertise in multiple aspects of ophthalmology.
She completed her medical degree at the University of New South Wales and undertook ophthalmology training at Sydney Eye Hospital where she was selected as the Chief Resident. She subsequently undertook a Corneal and Refractive subspecialty fellowship at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital, Melbourne as well as the world-famous Moorfields Eye Hospital, London UK.
Dr Leung is a lecturer at Sydney University and University of New South Wales where she teaches in the Master of Medicine course. She has worked for the Therapeutic Goods Administration, NSW Health Education and Training Institute (HETI) as well as authoring a number of medical education softwares.
Dr Leung has been awarded multiple national and international awards including from the American Academy of Ophthalmologyand New England Journal of Medicine. As an internationally recognised researcher, including for the Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews, Dr Leung prioritises providing advanced and patient-centred care.
Dr Leung is a consultant at the nation’s leading eye hospitals – Sydney Eye Hospital and the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital.
